Default how useful is mind burn?

This is one of those spells that you really don't want to get hit by, along with Meteor Swarm, Rodgart's Invocation, etc. I've stopped using it since now every ele boss has it (it dosen't feel speacial having it anymore but now I'm coming back to it just to have some fun, do you think it works well even with the exhaustion limitation? any suggestions?

darn, wish it was only that titan boss that still had it, but now every boss has it ahhh!!!!

The Exhaustion kills Mind Burn bad.
It's barely better than Immolate or Rodgort's.

... oh, yeah... Mind Blast also kills Mind Burn. Untill Burn also lets me spam RI, Heal Party,Wards, Blinding Flash or whatever the hell else I want, Burn's trash.

Not completely true. Mind Burn is an awesome spell in places like RA, where there are not many characters with the defence to handle it. You can easily beat the exhaustion with Glowing Gaze and Attunement. What you get is an awesome spell that brings softies down to half in one cast.

PvE wise tho....it is easily beaten

Unless you're epic bad and spam mind burn+gale on recharge. I've had an ele do that on me to the point his mind burn didn't trigger on my warrior anymore...

I would love for mind burn/shock/freeze to be viable elites. As well as some of the other prophecies elites.

[card]Chilling Winds[/card] plus [card]Mind Freeze[/card] equals 17 seconds of 90% slower with 10 air and 15 water...

The same with [card]Icy Shackles[/card] But that requires they be enchanted.

Exactly rick. It is fine to run exhaustion skills in RA, but that isnt what was said.

Im wondering (rhetorically) how does energy management overcome exhaustion? Only Glyph of Energy can (kinda) do that. And GoE wasn't mentioned at all.

the thought is not taking an exhaustion skill stormlord was saying take blast instead. emanagement doesnt really help exhaustion only time does. emanagaement might keep you remaining energy up to the fullest but you still got to wait for the exhaustion effect to regen before you can return to your original energy level. does thats sound right to everyone
